Bellerive Beach Park Master Plan - Review

Tell us what you love about Bellerive Beach Park (and what else you’d like to see there)!

Bellerive Beach Park is one of Clarence’s favourite destinations and is visited by people from across our region. With one of our largest play parks, the beach, shared pathways, outdoor fitness equipment and family picnic and BBQ facilities all in a stunning location, the park and surrounding areas have something for everyone.

Clarence City Council first master planned Bellerive Beach Park in 2012 and updated the plan in 2015. The 2015 update included plans for the current playground and other features that have since been built.

Since then, the popularity of the park has continued to grow, and the needs of the community and users of the park and broader area have evolved. To ensure there is a clear vision and direction for the park into the future, and that it can continue to meet the diverse needs of our community, the time has come to review the master plan.

We want to hear from you about what you love about the area and what (if anything) you think is missing. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of one of our favourite places.

Why is Council reviewing the Master plan?

There are several reasons Council is consulting with the community about Bellerive Beach Park.

We regularly receive feedback from members of the community about new features or other improvements they would like to see there. We’ve also seen the number of visitors to the area increase in recent years and need to make sure we provide the services and facilities to ensure people can keep safely enjoying the park, beach and other features of the area.

In 2020, Council passed a motion to review the Master plan and consider features such as a bathers pavilion and other amenities to enhance the recreational, sporting and cultural arts/events that are currently held or could be added (you can view the Council resolution in the FAQ’s section on the right). These questions will also be considered, and the community’s feedback on them sought as part of our consultation.

For more information, we encourage you to read our Bellerive Beach Park Discussion Paper (coming soon) which provides more context and things for you to consider when providing us with feedback.
